BRANDING

THE BRIEF & SOLUTION

To create a naming and a visual identity for a design and architecture studio.

The naming had to be different and stand out from the competition because in Milan (Italy), there are plenty of design studios. The idea was to develop a disruptive name with a creative narrative, perhaps a bit strange but friendly, that could convey the studio’s objectives of visibility, recognition and memorability through design. Without ego, without showing a design style, but rather showing empathy and closeness to the client.

I created storytelling to communicate how a simple dog that no one notices can become a recognisable and memorable dog.

In the logo design, to link the three words, I used the representation of the dog and the d to capture those spaces to generate visual unity. I decided to use a clean, modern, simple but distinctive typeface and mixed it with a handwritten script to contrast the geometric and give it friendliness. The dog was to represent the dog in the story, neither cute nor ugly, no breed, with a surprised expression. I added yellow to the colour palette to generate a more striking visual language.
