BRANDING & PACKAGING

THE BRIEF

Create a name, visual identity, and packaging for an editorial product.

The project involved developing a visual identity for an editorial business specialising in biographical books and films for people who want to tell their life stories and preserve their memories as a gift for family and friends. The primary audience consists of adults who wish to capture the memories, experiences, and legacy of their parents and grandparents for future generations.

THE SOLUTION

I created the names Memobook and Memofilm, which evoke the idea of preserving memories while clearly identifying each product in a recognisable and memorable way.

The visual identity centres on a simple, timeless wordmark featuring a subtle linking gesture between the letters. This connection symbolises the sequence of events, experiences, and relationships that come together to tell the story of a person’s life. The colour palette draws inspiration from sunsets and blue skies. These colours evoke nostalgia, emotion, and warmth, reflecting the meaningful moments and cherished memories that the products are designed to preserve. Together, these elements create a distinctive and emotional identity that celebrates personal stories, family heritage, and the enduring power of memory.
